There are servicemen and women from every state of our great nation dedicating their time and efforts to protect our freedom in Iraq. Millions of Americans are trying there best in many ways to say ‘Thank You’ to these fine troops. This……is my way. At the age of 55 my ‘former Marine, military lifer’ brother, Sgt. First Class Darrel Jones of the National Guard and his Minnesota Unit the 2-147th Assault Helicopter Battalion, have been deployed to Iraq, earlier this August. Since my passion is cachin, I decided that this would be the way I would say ‘Thank You.’ Would you please help in this cause by passing my on “Yellow Ribbon” from cache to cache in hopes of visiting every state in the US?
At the end of August 2009 I intend on sending copies of the cache pages as well as all of the logs to my brother, his unit and to as many of our serviceman as I can reach with our messages. I have ten Yellow Ribbons I will be ‘deploying’ this month. Each of their goals being: to visit each and every state of the United States of America and gather all ‘log intel’ as they can by August 31, 2009. At which time copies of all logs and messages will be sent to the troops. This travel bug “Yellow Ribbon” is #3 of 10 total. If you have some kind words for them they would appreciate it I am sure. Or simply date and sign your find. I truly hope that these Bugs can reach their goals. If they do it would mean 10 visits to each 50 states, making a total of 500 state visits in all. What a joy it would be to tell our people in Iraq that these ribbons visited their state 10 times in their honor!!!! And to give them messages of love and hope. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT……….HAPPY CACHIN!!!! FOR YOU BROTHER!!

Your TB is not in the cache. You might want to mark it as "Missing." :(

I agree with Las4. After Mr. Las4 picked up this very awesome TB, and we read its mission, both of us still want to write something appropriate for it, even if we are past the deadline. Both Mr. Las4 and Mr. Lefty Writer are prior service, both having been in the Army. Mr. Las4 was a medic, and I was a redleg. We never met in the service, but shared our histories once we did meet.
Thanks for creating this TB!

Grabbed this one while out cachin' w/ Lefty Writer clan today. Nice, honorable TB. Even though we're past the deadline for the posting of stories... I'll have to think on this one and post something appropriate and worthy.

Will be passing along. We are not planning on leaving the state for a couple of months but will drop before then.
We have a son leaving for Iraq in Spring of 2009 so military are always in my thoughts and prayers. Son is in the Virginia National Guards.
