It is September of 2008. Let's send our coin to the 2010 winter Olympics in Vancouver as a way of sending good luck to our Canadian athletes.

About This Item

This coin has a curious history.

We recovered this coin at the French Village Covered Bridge geocache in New Brunswick. (GCGX02) Upon logging on, we discovered that the coin had not been activated, so we do not know who purchased it, who placed it originally, or where it has been.

We did activate the coin, and will place it in a cache in Prince Edward Island.

If the original owners see this and want to resume ownership or change its mission, then please do get ahold of us.

Since first posting the text above and placing the coin, the original owners have officially passed it on to us. THANKS! Our first geocoin out in circulation.

    Found this is No Wake Zone outside of Whistler. WIll take it west to the Beautiful Vancouver Island to see the West Coast.

    I thought I'd lost this Geocoin, but found it and brought it with me to BC. It travelled around Stanley Park, Vancouver Aquarium, the beautiful temperate rainforests of Vancouver Island, Victoria, and then to Whistler. I brought it up to the summit of Whistler and it rode on the Peak 2 Peak gondola, where a storm came and we were stranded on Blackcomb for several hours. The next day I dropped it in No Wake Zone just outside Whistler.

    • Peak 2 Peak We brought these 2 Geocoins to Whistler, then to the summit and across on the Peak 2 Peak gondola to Blackcomb, where a storm forced us to be stranded for hours. We finally did make it down, but on an open lift in the rain. Brrrrr!

    Found this geocoin in the Heron's Roost cache near Nordegg, Alberta. Not sure how it got there, as whoever found it in Born in a Zoo didn't log it. Hopefully it gets to Vancouver 2010 in time!
