There is no mission, other than to pick and handle caches that is in keeping with our way of life. Then PLEASE take pictures of you with the coin.
People have lived and died for this great country. At first it was the land and it's elements; heat, cold, food, floods and dieases as our fore fathers crossed this land. They plowed and built towns, schools. The blacksmith shop, dry goods for things that couldn't be grown or made or traded such as coffee,tea, sugar, beans, bacon, and that yellow ribbon. People gathered to build churches to pray in their own faith.
There were, and always will be bad people who want to take what we worked ever-so hard to get. Some have even killed to get their way. The people had to find a way to keep the law and order. Hence A town's Marshall had to be hired, to help keep the town's committee's order of laws. Next, a jail was needed to keep the bad seperated from the good.
At one point in our history, the "Bill of Rights" was written as a guide for all Americans,in order to live in harmony with one another. Yet, there are people who want to take these rights from us.
Thank God for the courage of our troops protecting us from those who wish to do us harm.
