Current Goal

This travel bug is in memory of Dan Wiseman (our son in law), who died nine years ago. Dan was an over-the-road trucker, a husband, a father, and a man of character. He left two small children (at that time ages 6 and 3) who barely remember him.
The mission of the travel bug is to visit truck stops and rest stops and then to tell about what life is like on the road. Please describe the area and every day life so the children will have a better understanding of what their father did.
The bug should travel to as many states, rest areas, and truck stops as possible. Should you pick it up and make several stops before dropping off, please describe all of the areas traveled through.
This is a two year mission. The bugs are being released August 24, 2008. We would like them to end up in either Kansas City, Missouri or Hurst, Texas by August 31, 2010.

Found in D Best BBQ GCy71d. It was my 250 cache. It was funny because I traded for a red toy truck that looked similar to it. And I'm taking back to Irving, TX with me, and will be able to get it back into Hurst, TX.

Left this travel bug near a truck stop on I-44 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Hopefully it'll get more exposure here and move on.

No one ever said truck stops were boring. This travel bug was placed in a cache that is near the location of "Bruce's Truck Stop" which was blown away in a tornado back in 1993.

Cool travel bug and great story. We recently released a set of travel bugs (Grandpa's Bus 1/2/3) in memory of my father who recently passed away, and we're very excited to watch our travel bugs tour the country as well. Good luck on your travels little Semi.
