I received this geocoin as a 2008 Christmas present from Janiefind. It's release marks my first year of geocaching, and it is my first geocoin. Its original mission is to travel to all 50 states, Canada, and Mexico. However a trip to the International Space Station, the moon, or Mars would be nice too.
The reverse side of this geocoin gives the geocaching.com guidelines for temporary caches, caches placed for 3 months or less, or for specific geocaching events. Wouldn't it be great if all geocaches MIA were replaced, archived, or at least disabled, instead of being abandoned by their owners? This is a call to all cache owners to archive their caches when the caches are gone, and they have lost interest or are unable to maintain them, so others don't have to waste time looking for missing caches.
