This Travel Bug has two goals:
- To travel far and wide, as a tribute to those who serve;
- To be returned safely to Lakewood, Colorado to greet my son upon his return.
This Travel Bug is the patch worn by my son, an F/A 18 Super Hornet airframe mechanic attached to the USS Roosevelt. The USS Roosevelt sailed from the Norfolk U.S. Naval Base on Sept. 8, 2008 for a seven-month deployment to the Middle East.
