The mission of this travelbug is to acknowledge the people and things that we love, the things we are passionate about, and causes that stir our sensibilities. Take pictures! Share pictures!
John Denver in concert always had a way of making you feel like he was sitting in your living room, hanging out with a friend. We lost a friend, a great entertainer, and even better song writer on October 12, 1997. He was doing one of the things he was most passionate about...flying (near Carmel, California)...when he "slipped the surly bonds of earth".
Which of his more than 300 song's touched you the most? Jet Plane? Take Me Home? Grandma's Feather Bed? Annie's Song? Thank God I'm a Country Boy? Sunshine on my Shoulder? Calypso? One of my favorites was "Starwood in Aspen".
Sing out your favorite John Denver tune at the top of your voice and just be happy. Far Out! Peace!
