    Dropped off into a geocache in the "Old Forest" of Overton Park in Memphis, Tennessee. This is a remarkable place. Most people do not realize that most of the forest land in the United States has been cut since colonial times. The mature forests that seem ancient are actually only a couple hundred years old. Precious few forests that have not ever been cut exist in this country. This little patch in the middle of Memphis is one of those. It is home to national champion Shumbard Oak trees.
