Mother Goose wants to say a rhyme for The Leatherman. She has heard that a new cave has been discovered where both Sarah Bishop and the Leatherman might be found. This travel bug wants to look for the Leatherman along his circuit and stop in this new cave.
In the 19th century a vagrant known as the Leatherman because of his 60lb handmade leather suit, spent 30 years walking a 365-mile clockwise circuit every 34 days through towns in New York State and Connecticut. Ridgefield was on the Leatherman’s circuit and he periodically slept in Sarah Bishop’s cave. The Leatherman was so precise in his timing that people put out food for him and kept their schedules by his.

Mother Goose rhyme
One misty moisty morning
When cloudy was the weather
I chanced to meet an old man
All dressed in leather
I began to curtsy
He began to grin
And howdy do and howdy do
And howdy do again.
