Current Goal

Tommy's mission if you choose to accept it is to travel to all 50 state's capital buildings and meet any/ or all Republican representatives in those states. Once Tommy has accomplished this task he would like to head to Washington D.C. and see all the famous sites there. Oh, yay and meet Senators, Representatives, maybe even the President!!!
If you cachers that help me on the journey are republicans feel free to take a picture with me and send me on the way! (Don't forget to post those pics to document my mission!!!) This mission will NOT self- destruct!!!

Tommy the Elephant

The symbol of the Republican Party is the elephant. During the mid term elections in 1874, Democrats tried to scare voters into thinking President Ulysses S. Grant would seek to run for an unprecedented third term. Thomas Nast, a cartoonist for Harper's Weekly, depicted a Democratic donkey trying to scare a Republican elephant - and both symbols stuck.

So, in honor of the Cartoonist Thomas Nast- Tommy the Elephant is continuing in those giant footsteps!

I grabbed it mainly to put the trackable on something suitable other than this Republican Elephant... Upon disassembling and torching the fur on his little body, it occured to me that this isnt the venue nor forum for politcs and left the little guy 100% intact and unharmed. We are placing another cache in Oceanside over the next couple of weeks and he will be part of the trackable collection! Thanks
