Current Goal

This large and special trackable will travel around with us around to events for all to see. Much like the OCB (Original Can of Beans) this on is discoverable only.

About This Item

This Very Special Trackable was a joint venture between many Louisiana Geocachers. The Ammo can contained in the is Trackable was the container of the oldest still active cache in Louisiana. On May 7th Broken Trowel went out on a simple mission, to log the oldest cache in Louisiana and replace its aging ammo can. What he found was depressing to say the least it had been through a forest fire and the original log book and swag was gone nothing left but ash. We talk about it on louisianageocaching.org and felt we should honor this can with something fitting as making a travel bug out of it. After a few weeks of discussions the idea was born and I set out on a mission to create a book of all the previous logs and a few of the photos from the past. Next thing I know Beanie was offering to build something to house it in and this trackable was born. Beanie's wife even wrote and obit for the trackable. I owe Cajun_Abear for the great idea along with the rest of the people that gave input and feedback along the way. Then i came time to assigning a tracking number to this Trackable. Once I seen the Antique gold LE members only Louisiana Geocaching 2010 coin I just knew this was the right trackable to use to top off this project. This is a very rare coin with less than 20 made I believe and I would not have it any other way.
