I hate commercials! That's why I usually watch PBS or Turner Classic Movies, but having said that there has been one company whose commercials I haven't minded. You guessed it: Geico. The guys and galls behind geico's advertising department are brilliant from the "so easy a caveman can do it..." series, to the "overly serious hard boiled question guy" series, they never cease to amaze me. I mean what TV watcher doesn't know "15 minutes could save you 15% or more on car insurance."
My favorites singles have to be the Mrs. Butterworth paid spokesperson commercial,http://youtu.be/LoKXcUduKIs the first caveman commercial,http://youtu.be/3F3qzfTCDG4 and the "...can soccer announcer Andres Cantor make any sport exciting???"http://youtu.be/2fXsfAeqimY
The thousands of these Trackables are no different, they are another genius advertising move made by Berkshire Hathaway's own Geico. The next thing we know someone will be trying to find one geocache profile without a Geico logo on their Trackables page.
Maybe we can learn a lesson or two from Geico about "advertising" what you as an individual believe. Do you want to see greater freedoms in this country? Lower taxes? Better schools for our future generations? Less dependence on foreign imports? Smaller, more accountable government? It hasn't taken long for Geico to become the largest vehicle insurance agency in this country and it won't take long for you to see your beliefs come true. Let's advertise like Geico and each do our share and more.
