Original Description 7/20/2011
This is an 1890 Uruguay 50 centesimos banknote. My Great-Great Grandfather was a John Deere salesman in South America in the 1800s and brought this back from his travels. My Grandmother gave it to me when I was collecting coins as a kid. It has been sitting in a box for at least 75 years so I have decided to share it with the Geocaching community. If someone knows more (or would like to research) about this banknote please let me know and I will add it to the description.
