My name is Octavio the Otter, but you can call me Gus for short.
I am representing fourth grade students from Newcastle, California. These students are interested in exploring historical places throughout California.
They elected me to explore these sites. In order to do so, you need to take me to a historical site in California.
When you log in your cache, please address the class since I won't be able to talk for them.
They will be watching to see where I go so take me somewhere exciting!

Hi, Spent the day learn about Sutter's Fort. The nice couple and their little friend took me on a field trip to Sutter's Fort. Checked out how people traveled to the fort in covered wagons. Looked at the bakery were they made all the bread for the fort in a beehive oven. Saw Sutter's office where he would have conducted business for the fort. Took a look at the kitchen where they made the meals for the people living at the fort. We even took a look the jail where Vallejo might have been held during the Bear Flag revolt. I had fun hanging out around the cannons. The little friend wanted the nice couple to shoot off the cannons. We had some nice lunch and the nice couple took me on a geocache over to the Central Railroad Depot for others to continue my journey.

dacoma was checking on the Marco Bark-o cache and grabbed this one for us to relocate in California. We found an appropriate cache (and one that Gus will fit into) and will drop it off on Sunday. Good luck on your class project!!
