I am a fossil shark tooth. My owner has spent many hours beachcombing for teeth just like me at Westmoreland State Park on the Potomac River in Virginia, USA. This tooth was part of a necklace found on the beach elsewhere. Instead of cluttering up the drawer my owner decided to send me out to see the world. The oldest shark species known date back to 450 million years ago! The fossilized teeth of the largest prehistoric sharks can be up to 7 inches long. This one must have been just a baby For more info on shark teeth check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shark_tooth as a start.

This guy had breen, unbeknownst to us, lost and just recently been found. Chompers is directly on the Passaic River, which leads to the Atlantic at its mouth in the Newark bay. Keep bringing him closer to where he belongs.
Picked it up and took it all along Patriots Path. Waiting for a good move to a new spot. a
