The mission of this Travel Bug is to travel all around the world, take a visit in Italy, in Porto Viro, province of Rovigo, and them go back to Veranópolis, state of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil, where it came from.
It is interesting to visit Porto Viro because it is the sister city of Veranópolis in Italy.
No, it's not that apple that you think that I'm talking about.
This Travel Bug comes directly from Veranópolis, state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
Back in 1930's, Jose Bin, son of Italian immigrants born in Brazil, bought an apple in a local market, imported from California. So far, no apples tress had been planted in Brazl.
He took out the seeds and planted in comunity of Lageadinho, in Veranópolis. One survived, which Jose then grafted. This was the first apple plant planted in Brazil, becaming a new variety called Jose Bin.

Jose Bin's bust inaguration in comunity of Lajeadinho, Veranópolis, RS, Brazil - April 2011.
Because of this, Veranópolis is known by brithplace of apple in Brazil.
Every two years, happens the Femaçã - Festa Nacional da Maçã (National Festival of Apple) to celebrate the title of birthplace of apple in Brazil, which includes several attractions and famous Brazilian bands concerts.
The city is located in Serra Gaúcha region, famous for the European style and good standard of life. It had 26121 inhabitans as of 2009 census, and is located 170 km from Porto Alegre, 1015 km from São Paulo and 1950 km from Brazília. Come take a visit when you are in South Brazil and enjoy.

I've seen this TB somewhere, when I was together with Oldbard, someday between July-2017 and May-2018.
Thanks for sharing it with me... and sorry for the delay... :-)
