About This Item

My cache owners live in an area in which there are mostly ruby-throated hummingbirds during the summer. They like to feed the hummingbirds and watch them zoom by in their flight patterns. One fall, toward the end of the season for hummingbirds, they saw a hummingbird at their feeder that did not look quite right to be a ruby-throated hummingbird. It turned out to be a rufous hummingbird that became a little sidetracked from its normal migration route. My cache owners would love to see photos of hummingbirds as we travel and you log our adventures!
