    Polynesian Resort.

We have traveled many thousands of miles together and with pictures all along the way! It is now time for us to part ways. Good Luck and happy travels!

Note: We have personally given this trackable to Tommy Burton at the Polynesian Resort. It is in his possession.
It is not in the listed Geocache.
I “dropped” it at the nearby cache just as a means to take it out of my inventory.
The recipient can then pick it up from there. Happy Caching!

This post really doesn’t have anything to do with trackables. It’s an invitation of sorts for my trackable owners-

My latest discovery is Adventure Labs (they are not new, just new to me, as I had not done those types of caches prior to a month ago). We have completed several Adventure Labs now, including several here at DisneyWorld. They are fun and share some similarities to Virtual caches in that there is nothing physical to find. I’m not sure exactly how they interact with Geocache, though they are closely linked. I don’t believe you get statistical credits for “finds”. It does take you to various statues, scenic views, plaques and points of interest that you might otherwise miss.
The drawback is that I can’t log or interact with my trackables on that type of cache. I’ve spent several hours setting up my own Adventure Lab (my first one) here at the Riviera Resort in DisneyWorld where we had been staying. I made it go live today. If you happen to visit DisneyWorld someday, try it out and see what you think. You do not have to be staying at the Riviera to complete it and it does not require a park pass or any fees. It is all within a free, public area.

We transitioned to the Polynesian Resort and have private Bungalow #7010 that sits out over the Seven Seas Lagoon. Each bungalow has its own deck & tub sitting over the water as well. Hawaiian tunes are piped in and it’s very pleasant and relaxing hanging out here. It’s just like being in Hawaii with a laid back vibe. The trackables are out here relaxing on the deck too. They are pictured on the deck table as a Disney ferry traverses the lake to bring park goers to the Magic Kingdom. The castle and monorail are in the background. We will view fireworks and the lighted boat parade here later on.

Magic Kingdom. We went to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party last night. I wasn’t able to get the trackables out at the parade due to the crowds (was afraid they would get lost). So this is a supplemental picture at the entrance to the park today. Wanted to show the TBs were actually here.

The TBs are in the Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s very Merry Christmas Party. This is a virtual cache from a previous vacation here. Even though it’s approaching midnight, the place is still packed! The TBs are enjoying the Christmas Parade with me. However, I can’t display them due to all the people. They would be trampled.

    DisneyWorld, Florida,
Disney does not allow Geocaches on property, so I’ll try to slip away to get a traditional cache at some point. That’s why this one is a “write only note”. This will be our last big vacation for 2024 as I’m too busy with Christmas after this. We are already planning some big trips to far off places in early 2025. Lots more mileage will be racked up. The trackables are pictured with the Riviera Resort in the background. That is where we are staying on this trip at the moment.

We are heading to Seatac airport for our final big trip of this year. Made a quick stop to log a cache and bring the TBs back from our last trip and log in Idaho. Have been too busy to get a cache done prior, so had to make this special stop. The trackables are pictured at ground zero. This cache is a fake birdhouse in the tree above the little library.

Washington State University (WSU) has a research center for bears (their mascot is the Cougars, so you’d think they would research that). They have several here on display. The trackables are pictured close on the sign and the cache is a magnetic key box type 30’ to the right. It’s hidden within the guardrail of the parking lot.
