Current Goal

I'm thinking the days of the "Family Cow" are in the past. Our family had a one such cow up into the early 1950's. It was my job as a Junior and Senior in High School to hand milk the cow every evening. And of course our cow was named Bossie. Not sure if there was a reason for the name but I always figured it was because the cow decided on which family member would do the milking.

As our family aged it was usually the eldest child (at home)  plus Dad. Dad in the morning and the child at night. (Boys only!) This worked until a brother just older than me reached the eldest status. When he would try to do the milking the  cow would always "kick the bucket".  That meant no fresh milk for that evening. Soon after High School I enlisted in the Air Force and soon after that the family cow was sold. 

My mission is to travel the world looking for a family with a family cow. Remember I'm a family cow not a herd cow!
