About This Item

This is NOT a collectable.  It is being tracked by my grandchildren.  A full set of these cake toppers are available cheaply from Amazon and other retailers.

Dora and her friends were at a local county fair in Massachusetts where they had been visiting the historical sites in Boston.  They were having a lot of fun.  There was a tethered silver helium balloon that was giving rides for passengers. They all wanted to go for a ride, so her father Cole Marquez bought tickets for them.  Boots, Backpack and Map, Benny the Bull, Isabella (Isa) the Iguana, Senor Tucan, and Tico the Squirrel had already climbed into the basket and Dora was about to get in when her parents called her over.  They had been watching a big black storm cloud coming from the East.

Her father said,  ”Dora, I don’t think you should go up right now because that storm cloud looks dangerous and it is coming this way.”

At that time, nobody saw Swiper the Fox sneaking up to the balloon.  He got to the stake in the ground where the balloon was tied down and started to untie the rope so he could swipe it.  All of a sudden the storm was upon them and it pulled on the balloon.  The rope came loose with Swiper still holding on and the balloon shot up into the sky.  Swiper held on for dear life.  The storm took the balloon and swirled it around, pulling it way up in the sky.  Senor Tucan immediately flew out and returned to the field.

Dora cried,   “Oh no.  STOP.” And she ran down the field, but it was too late for the balloon was way up in the air.  Soon it was swallowed up in the black cloud and couldn’t be seen.

Dora turned back to her parents, “We have to save them.”

Her father replied, “We’ll stay here and arrange rescue attempts.  But Dora, you will have to travel to try and find them.  It is going to be difficult since you don’t have Backpack, Map, and your friends to help.  You have to depend on the kindness of strangers to help find them.  Geocachers are great people who help protect the environment and have the adventurous spirit for this type of rescue.  They can move you from cache to cache to get you closer to your lost friends.  When you find them, send them on the route home to San Antonio, TX.”

Her mother said, “I’m sure that Senor Tucan will go on another route to try to find our friends.”

“Si.” Said Senor Tucan.

“I will.” Said Dora. And off she went.

Meanwhile in the balloon, Dora’s friends were holding on.  None of them knew how to control the balloon.  It spun through the air, being carried to the West.  At night the balloon would cool, descend, and bump along the ground until one of the friends would fall out of the basket.  Then, lightened of its load it would shoot back up in the air.  Swiper was the first to fall off because he couldn’t keep holding on to the rope any longer.  Then Benny, Tico, Isa, Backpack and Map, and finally Boots.  But now they were scattered all over the U.S. and Canada.

Dora (TB7FCY6) and Senor Tucan are traveling west to try find their friends.  Dora’s friends are scared and just want to go home so they are trying to get to San Antonio.  Can you help them?

As always thank you for keeping this trackable moving.
