If you're curiuos then these are the Rules of game
The following rule sets are available/planned on tb-run.com.
distance
TB needs to get as many km as possible in a given time. There is a start and end date. Winner is the TB that has the highest km count at the end of the timeframe. New TBs as well as TBs that have already travelled can participate in the run.
distance fair
In principal just as the normal distance race. But here, we only consider the first placed/visit log of every cacher. This prevents that cachers keeping trackables, dipping them in every cache and helping them to get high mileage. In case there is more than one log on the first day we will consider the one with the highes mileage on that day.
Other than that, the normal 'distance' race rules apply:
TB needs to get as many km as possible in a given time. There is a start and end date. Winner is the TB that has the highest km count at the end of the timeframe. New TBs as well as TBs that have already travelled can participate in the run.
long jump
In principal just as the normal distance race. But if one cacher moves a TB several time we consider only the log with the highest mileage - the longest jump. This prevents cachers keeping trackables, dipping them in every cache and helping them to get high mileage.
Other than that, the normal 'distance' race rules apply:
TB needs to get as many km as possible in a given time. There is a start and end date. Winner is the TB that has the highest km count at the end of the timeframe. New TBs as well as TBs that have already travelled can participate in the run.
Race to a cache
Winner is the TB that first reaches a given Cache. There is no end date for the run. The TBs can start from any location. Please not that it might make not much sense to start such a race as an open public race. New TBs as well as TBs that have already travelled can participate in the run.
Personal TBs
Similar to the normal distance race but the attending TBs are owned by the same geocaching.com account
