The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) is a global organization supporting scouting for ten million girls in 150 countries. It has five regions and operates five world centers.
The five world centers are:
- Our Cabana, Mexico
- Pax Lodge, UK
- Our Chalet, Switzerland
- Kusafiri, Africa
- Sangam, India
We want our TB to visit all five of the world centers. We would also like it to visit Paris, France, and Australia.
Rocky Mountain Day Camp is a volunteer-led day camp held the first week of June each year. It is held in Chelsea, Alabama, at the Girl Scouts of North Central Alabama (GSNCA) Camp Kanawahala Program Center (KPC). This fun, enriching, low-cost camp allows girls to extend their Girl Scout experience into the summer months, and also offers leadership opportunities for girls in seventh grade and above. All program levels enjoy singing, swimming, hiking, canoeing, archery, games, crafts, and badge-work. The week culminates in an all-camp program in which each unit (group) shares a new song, skill or skit with their Girl Scout friends and families.
The fifth grade unit at RMDC learned about geocaching this week and we want this TB to travel around the whole world!
This is a dog tag attached to a GSNCA key chain.
