Happy Memorial Day! And a heartfelt thank you to those who have served our country.
I have been eyeing this series of challenge caches on US-27 since they were published early last year. For one reason or another, I had not yet had a chance to come out here and sign off on these challenges. However, today was finally the day, and I left home right after sunrise, before it got too unbearably hot, to tackle this series of challenge caches.
I’m glad I came out here when I did, before the rainy season starts. The ground was completely dry on all 17 challenge caches that I found today.
Some of the caches were easy to spot from a distance away, while others required a bit of a search. All of the coordinates, however, were very accurate. All of the containers were in good shape, as were most of the logs. A few of the logs, however, were wet, and to those I added a supplemental rite-in-the-rain log paper. A couple of the other logs were, quite strangely, completely missing, and so I provided those caches with new rite-in-the-rain log papers.
At each of the caches, I took nothing, left nothing, and signed the log paper. I also snapped my usual nonspoiler geophoto at each cache.
For each of these challenge caches, I will check to see if I meet the qualifying criteria sometime in the near future.
Thanks for the challenge, the cache, and the hunt! I hope you are doing well!
Motogrrl was here. So was US Navy Geocoin.
