The primary mission of this bug is to travel as far away from its differently coloured counterparts as possible (see list below), before potentially reuniting at Mega Events.
The secondary mission of this bug is to measure stuff - so if you have it in your possession, measure something with it (the cache it was found in? The cache you're about to place it in? The structure a cache is hiding behind / in?) and include the measurement in your log.

A red 50cm (500mm - hence the bug name) ruler folded into ten 5cm (50mm) segments, with a keyring and red dogtag attached.
