Jetsam

Hello, my name is Jetsam! The meaning of my name is: a piece of unwanted material or goods that have been thrown overboard from a ship and washed ashore, especially material that has been discarded to lighten the vessel. I once sailed the seven seas long ago, clipped to a sailors keyring. He had the big red key float on his keychain, because, well, he was on a boat, and it is just common sense to have a key float on your keyring when you are surrounded by water. Anyway, one day he forgot me in his suitcase while aboard the boat, and later that day, a terrible storm occurred, and the men on the ship began to panic; so they began to throw cargo off the ship, to try and balance and lighten their ship. and, well, that suitcase was one of the items that were tossed overboard. But, luckily, when someone tossed my suitcase overboard, it struck the railing of the ship, and the little latch tore open, and all the belongings flew everywhere; and, of course, I was one of those items. I splashed down into the water and began to float. A few months later, I washed ashore in Sandy Hook, New Jersey, USA. I was found by a biker and discarded in a tool chest for a few years. And here I am now today. My goal is to one day sail again! I want to feel the breeze in my face again, and sail the seven seas and make new friends as I once did! And maybe one day I could return to my rightful owner! So today, when you find me in an ammo can take me in your kayak, motorboat, luxury cruise, swimming in the ocean or in pools, because since I have a big red float, I will never sink to the bottom of the ocean, and you will never lose sight of me because of my bright red color. Please, take me for a swim, a boat ride, but PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ME IN ANY AIRCRAFT! I ABSOLUTELY HATE HEIGHTS!
