My Grandfather LOVED Canada!
When my Grandfather turned 18 years old, him and a few of his closest friends left home in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA and crossed over the border into Canada to enlist in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was assigned to the Royal Canadian Medical Corps and was stationed in Newfoundland. This is where he met my Grandmother. After WWII, and upon his return to the USA, him and his friends were tried as traitors for not returning to the USA once the country entered the war. Fortunately, they were acquitted of all charges.
My Grandfather always had a fondness and love for Canada. Especially Victoria, BC, CA. This is where my grandparents honeymooned and for this reason is why I picked Victoria for the launching spot of this TB.
GOAL: My hope is to have this TB travel throughout Canada gaining a photo album along the way cataloging its journey.
