In a heritage culture reserve with Viking history we left the TB for future travels. A thousand years ago the Baltic Sea reached here and people lived here in settlements. Now the sea has receded several miles away. This was Viking farmlands with villages and cattle. You can even find a rune stone! Spring is burgeoning.
It’s still snow here now and we put the TB in our daughters cache. In summer it’s cows here so we are happy they are not here now. The birds are singing and nesting and birds are coming in streaks from south.

We picked this TB from a cache on top of the Vulcan Montaña Roja close to playa Blanca on the south coast of Lanzarote. We walked up to the top 194 metres above sea level and our shoes and legs were white with dust. We walked round the crater and marvelled at all the people that had left there names written with stones in the crater. A great day!
