Pégase est un Cheval ailé de la mythologie grecque, Pégase est l’une des plus célèbres créatures fantastiques.

Il est le fils de la gorgone Méduse et de Poséidon. Né à la mort de sa mère, il jaillit de son sang lorsqu’elle fut décapitée par Persée. Son frère, le sanglier ailé Chrysaor naquit en même temps que lui. Pégase est décrit comme le plus magnifique des chevaux, à la robe et aux ailes d’un blanc immaculé.

Dès sa naissance, Pégase se rendit sur l’Olympe pour servir Zeus. Avec l’aide d’Athéna et Poséidon, Bellérophon, le captura car il avait besoin de lui pour vaincre Chimère. Durant leur voyage, mécontent de la manière dont il avait été attelé, il tapa du sabot sur une roche du Mont Hellicon et créa la source Hippocrène.

Une fois Chimère terrassée, il continua d’accompagner Bellérophon jusqu’à ce que le héros décide de monter sur l’Olympe, se jugeant digne d’y résider. Le domaine des dieux étant inaccessible aux hommes, il chuta durant le voyage et perdit la vie. Pégase poursuivit l’ascension et rejoint à nouveau Zeus. Le roi des dieux l’éleva au ciel et fit de lui une constellation.

Stopped by the South of the Border (SOB) complex at North Carolina / South Carolina border. Was checking out the SOB Pedro’s Grande TB Hotel (GC6R0QH) cache, one of the most awesome caches I ever come across! Cache was in fair condition, but unfortunately your listed TB was MIA. As a TB owner, I can share with you in your frustration when it comes to a missing TB. Still, felt you should know. Unsure if anyone else has previously alerted you to your missing TB. Perhaps your TB will surface at some point in the future. We can always hope. Thanks for investing in the geocaching game and fun for all. Best to you in your 2025 geocaching adventures.

Spotted this morning at an event in Sintra, Portugal in the hands of unimoggers. This TB is safe and well, but appears to be behind on the logging.
