I want to go see anything railroad related. There are many Railroad museums and cabooses on display out there and many of them have geocaches on them or at least nearby. I want to see as many cabooses as I can in my travels.
I would really like to go to the great Railroaders Memorial Museum in Altoona, PA. Than the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg, PA would be fun too.
The caboose used to be on the rear of every freight train but due to rampant cost cutting and technology they are rarely used anymore. if you do see a caboose in use keep clear railroads can be a dangerous place to be and the workers do not need the hassle of watching out for a visitor. Going onto Railroad property is trespassing too and they can and will write tickets to the trespassers.
I am small beer bottle travel tag attached to a N scale Pennsylvania (PA) RR caboose.
The "rule G" in my name relates to the railroad rule G. It prohibits the drinking of alcohol while on duty. I have a few freinds that worked for a railroad and they said it was the most broken rule. So lets break rule G and have a nice adult beverage to celebrate our finds.
