About This Item

Operation hard hat.

Back in the 1970s there was a comedy duo of Cheech and Chong. They made some comedy albums and in 1978 made the movie Up In Smoke. It was about two guys who had no mission in life except to find fun.�� They were put under surveillance by Sergeant Stadanko who named his investigation operation hard hat. After the movie made its run in the theaters it was put into a local drive-in for over 3 years. So any given Friday night when a group of us were bored we went to the drive-in. It was only five bucks a car load.for those of you who remember the drive-in there was always a double future. So we would watch the first one and of course sit through up and smoke. I have probably seen this movie 35 times. So when I came across these miniature hard hats it brought me memories of that movie and all the good times I had with my friends back then. If you have never seen this movie and are a big fan of comedy this one stands the test of time. And the comedy is very mild by today's standards.
