Queen Grimhilde in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was created by Art Babbitt and designed by Joe Grant of Walt Disney and first appeared in 1937. She is the villain and evil queen based upon the 1812 Brothers Grimm’s German fairy tale Snow White. She has dark magical powers. The queen is narcistic about her own beauty and status. When her stepdaughter’s beauty exceeds her own, she grows mad with envy. The queen set out to kill Snow White disguised as a sweet loving old hag and a poison apple.
