About This Item

This is one of 100 geocoins printed in honor of the St Johns County, FL 200th anniversary. St Johns County, in NE, Florida is home to St Augustine, the oldest continuously settled city by Europeans in the US. The front of the geocoin includes the words St Johns County, Florida and has a crown (representing settlement by the Spanish Empire in the 1500s), a fort (Castillo de San Marcos - the oldest masonry fort in the US), lions (Ponce de Leon visited St Augustine), and on the back, are the words “St Johns County 1821-2021, Celebrating 200 Years of Excellence.”

    We saw this trackable in Park City, UT! Oddly enough, we’ve visited St. John’s county in Florida several times recently for medical reasons. We see this as a sign of healing and good luck!! This is blowing our minds!

    Well, the “St. Johns County 200 Years of Excellence” Trackable is now above 1,000 feet elevation. In fact, it is now 7,792 above sea level in the Wasatch Mtn Range in Park City, UT!! Mission accomplished!!

    Had this coin along with me on the trip to find this cache. As the coin has a goal to reach the hilltops, I let it look out on the flat marshes but kept it with me so it could continue its journey.
