I come from western Ohio, United States, where rocks from the Ordovician Period are very near to the surface. About 12,000 years ago, glaciers in this part of Ohio began receding and exposed lots of fossils. There are so many in this part of the state that one of our state parks allows anyone to hunt and collect fossils! If you go to The Smithsonian Museum of Natural History you will see many fine examples of fossil trilobites collected in Ohio.
My wish is ti travel the world and visit geologically significant sites!
Hi Tanya Trilobite, nice to meet you ! I bring you back with me visiting my country, the France ! :D
This type of fossil is very common in Cincinnati Ohio. He’s off to see the world!
