Current Goal

This trackable was made possible with Geocaching and JackLink's Quest for Cash.

The mission for this Squatchy fellow is to visit a tree and post a picture. Do you have a tree story to share?  I will start...

In high school, we had a teacher assign a leaf project. We had to go out and find leaves to press in our book and properly identify. I never paid much attention to the different shapes of leaves until this project was assigned. I found a Sweetgum leaf that was too big for my page. I discovered the unusual shape of the Ginkgo tree. I ended up really enjoying this project. Now, being a homeowner, I got to pick trees to plant in my yard. I got some starts from family that have really grown into nice trees for my yard. A Little Leaf Linden from my childhood home, a Red Maple from my in-laws home, a donated Bald Cypress from my dad, a Cottonless Cottonwood that reminds me of my youth where I enjoyed listening to the leaves in the breeze.

Do you have a favorite tree story to share and a picture for our Sasquatch to take cover in?

Mr. Sasquatch is back in his own environment again, roaming the woods of Lost Creek Reserve. He looked happy when we said our goodbyes and I'm sure he'll be happy to make new friends. Go and find him! 🤙

I drove almost an hour and a 1/2 to try and find sasquatch. I had never seen one in the wild before. I was in luck today! I took this hairy friend from his hide out in the woods by this beautiful cemetery and took it on a shopping spree at Jungle Jim's International market. We we now have to find a new woodsy area, maybe including a cemetery in the Dayton area for him to reside.
