Goodbye La Tour Eiffel, it’s time to let you go. I’ve might have found you a ride out of England. There was an event at Paddington so I walked in via Notting Hill to grab a few green dots and then past the famous station. You were passed to dagrandpa so follow up with them if you are not logged. Good luck! 🐻

My muggle friend wanted to come caching with me. I chose the Thames around Hampton Court Palace because her idea of going caching is not the same as mine. We found four and then it was time for lunch. The building of the palace began in 1514 for Cardinal Thomas Wolsey, the chief minister of Henry VIII. In 1529, as Wolsey fell from favour, the cardinal gave the palace to the king to check his disgrace. The palace went on to become one of Henry's most favoured residences. 🏰

It’s pretty warm in London at the moment and I was hoping Danson Park in far south east London might be shady but a tedious Wherigo had to be played in the open. The park does have a beautiful oak tree which is over 200 years old. It is known as "Charter Oak", and has been recognised as one of the Great Trees of London. 🌳

Ahoy there. You set to sea and sailed the four wheeled pirate ship to the Piratemania Mega in Berkshire. Piratemania is “the largest gathering of Geocaching Pirates in the UK”. I dare say it might be the ONLY gathering of Geocaching Pirates in the UK too. Lots of bilge sucking geocachers having a fun day looking for all the new caches. 🏴☠️

Went for a wander to nearby Garson’s Green which is a lovely part of London. It is named after the rectors of the parish of Fulham whose residence once adjoined this patch of land, which stood on the site of St Dionis’ church from the 14th century and subsequently the name was adopted for the district. Lots of people sunbaking on the green. 🩳

Across London to Bowes Park for a multi cache. Not much to report except Arthur C Clarke (1917 – 2008), the pioneering English science fiction author and inventor, lived in Bowes Park at one point. 👽
