Never to be forgotten
The greatest casualty of our military personal is to be forgotten. This trackable is to honor our service men and women who have stood up for all of us back home either during peace time or at war.
In 2020 for instance the number of military personnel follows.
Army Active Duty 481,254
Nat'l Guard 336,703
Reserve 274,518
Navy Active Duty 341,996
Reserve 101,223
Air Force Active 329.614
Air Nat'l Guard 107,414
Air Force Reserve 95,079
Marines Active Duty 180,958
Reserve 98,952
Coast Guard Active 40,558
Reserve 7,724
In addition there are 16,000 military and civilian personnel in the Space Force. It is not broken down any further, so as you can see there are and will continue to be many veterens that we need to thank for their service and which are Never To Be Forgotten.

Realized I’d only noted and not grabbed this from the last cache. Rectified that and dropped it in a new home in NYC!

This traveler has clearly moved along from NH #1 - Mines Follies in the time since we placed it there. A lot of cachers visit the cache, typically veteran cachers, so it is likely it was picked up but the cacher forgot to log the pickup. Hopefully it will soon be placed in a cache again, be found by another geocacher, and once again have its travels logged on the web site!
