"Bird and bear, and hare and fish,
Give my love her fondest wish."
My wish for this trackable to travel the Path of the Beams. What are Beams, you ask? Ask any of Stephen King's Dark Tower fans, and they'll tell you this (which was taken from Dark Tower Wiki:
"
Beams are physical forces that hold up the Dark Tower. Like the Dark Tower, they are infinitely old, created at the beginning of the Universe and are themselves living entities (all male and brothers), having arisen from the Prim. The Beams are represented by 12 figurative "animal guardians". In all there are 6 beams and 2 guardians on a beam: bat, lion, bear, horse, rat, wolf, hare, eagle, turtle, dog, fish and elephant. At the end of each beam where a guardian resides, there is also a portal to another world. The Old Ones sought to replace the magical beams with their own technological versions and North Central Positronics created actual giant cyborg guardians.
Though there are 6 beams, in effect there are 12 spokes - the Tower is at the centerpoint of each beam, and an animal guardian at each end. The spoke one is traveling can be described using the animal names in the following manner - the beam that goes bear - tower - turtle, when on the spoke between the bear and the tower, you are on the beam of the bear, path of the turtle. When between the turtle and tower, it is the beam of the turtle, path of the bear - even though the beam of the turtle, and the beam of the bear are the same beam.
'All things serve the Beam' is a common theme throughout the story. Once Roland, Eddie, and Susanah reach the portal of Shardik, Roland demonstrates the power of the beam through using a crude compass. The ka-tet are able to see the beam at work, by seeing birds turn to follow the beam as they pass through it. Trees grow in the direction of the beams, even their shadows follow the direction of the beams."

The Rose is another nexus of reality separate from the Dark Tower. It exists in the Keystone World and can be found in New York City, on the corner of Second and Forty-Sixth in a vacant lot.
It is dusky pink on the outside, fierce red on the inside and has a center as yellow as the sun."
"The Unfound Door is one of the magical doors that Roland and his ka-tet come across while seeking out The Tower. Out of all the doorways to other worlds they run across, this one is the most powerful and most influential.
Its appearence is very similar to the Beach Doors of the Western Sea. It is made from ironwood, stands about 6 1/2 feet tall, the knob is made of crystal with a rose etched on it and appears to just stand with its hinges attached to nothing but air. The main difference is that instead of High Speech lettered on the face of the door, it has hieroglyphs that mean "Unfound", same as on Black Thirteen's box.
What makes this door so important and powerful is where it can lead the user. It has an unlimited reach, taking the user to any where and when they desire. The trick is that it can only be opened with Black Thirteen, Maerlyn's most dangerous of the Wizard's Rainbow."
"
Maerlyn's Rainbow, also known as the Bends o' the Bow or Wizard’s Rainbow, consists of thirteen colored spheres. The first twelve represent the Twelve Guardians of the Beams, each having the secret of a different form of magic; the last, Black Thirteen, represents the Dark Tower itself, which was filled with the evil of the monster-infested void that existed between worlds.
Some have different powers to others with some showing Mid-World, some which show All-World, and some which have the power to transport. Others look into the future and the demon infested worlds as well as revealing the locations of secret doors which give access to other worlds. Additionally, others can see far into the world and witness vile acts most people would wish kept secret. One is said to give the power of levitation, and another the secrets of telepathy.
All were cursed to bring despair and sorrow to those who wielded them, representing a corruption of the White and have a tendency to sap the life of the user, looking into them to a person to see their sins and shameful acts.
They are also referred to as Bends in the Rainbow by Roland's father, Steven. The Bends are referenced at least twice. First, when Roland is talking with his father just before leaving for Mejis and the Outer Arc; second, when the ka-tet are standing in front of the glass gate (in Wizard and Glass), those identified at the glass gate are the Pink, Black, Blue, Green, Orange, Yellow and Purple spheres.
The Thirteen colours consist of: Crimson, Orange, Yellow, Lime, Dark Green, Cerulean Blue, Azure, Indigo, Violet, Pink, Brown, Pearl Grey, and Black.
It is in The Gunslinger Born that six of these Bends are in the possession of the Crimson King. The only one mentioned by name in the issue is Black 13. The other five appear to be Blue, Lime, Yellow, Orange, and Purple. The Crimson King uses Black 13 to communicate with Walter O'Dim. These events occur around the same time that the Pink Bend is given to the witch, Rhea of the Cöos"
"Go, then, there are other words than these."
