Snusmumrik vill vara ute i naturen och tälta, fiska samt spela på sitt munspel. Men varje vår vill han återvända hem till sin bro och vänta på sin bästa vän, Mumin.

Snufkin wants to be outdoor, camping, fishing and playing his harmonica. But each year, in the spring, he wants to return to his bridge, waiting for his best friend Moomin.

Snusmumrik är en filosofiskt lagd vagabond, alltid klädd i slokhatt och en gammal rock. När vintern närmar sig lämnar han Mumindalen för att resa omkring i världen. Han trivs med sig själv och gillar att få meta fisk in lugn och ro, bryr sig alls inte om att äga saker och har många beundrare, särskilt bland dem som är små och blyga och inte kan vara ensamma. Han är Mumins bästa vän.

Snufkin is a philosophic vagabond, always dressed in a slouch-hat and an old coat. In the autumn, he usually leaves the Moominvalley in order to visit other parts of the world. Snufkin is gentle, carefree and independent and does not bother about worldly possessions. He has many admirers, especially among those who are small and shy, and Moomintroll is his best friend.
