About This Item

TB.jpg

Thanks to Torry (and Lulu) for coming up with such an imaginative and creative name, this TB used to be called the Pyewagon. Its hitchhiker *used* to be a wheelchair. However comma...instead of riding around on this TB, it's now going to be riding around on me.

I've had several life-altering experiences after another lately, and they've allowed me to change my reality. Should I still be in the wheelchair? Probably. Instead, I'm going to walk whenever possible. What's the worst that can happen? Bones pop/crack/break, and I end up...back in the chair. Until then, every painful step and slow lumber is a reminder that, right now, I'm living my life. That's more fun than riding around in a souped-up wheelchair. Shame on me for not learning this lesson sooner, but it's a lesson I've learned well. Life is too short to allow it to pass by in a blur. Slow down, and really experience what it has to offer. Be strong enough in spirit not to be dragged down by negative sources, including your own. I did, for far too long. I let my own negativity control me and shape who I used to be. I'm not that person anymore. Goodbye, and good riddance...long live the King. :)

Nope, didn't find it. I found nettles, though. Bzzz BzzZZZzt buzzity bzzz bzzz bzzzttt. Hours later, and my skin is still tingling; I'm terribly allergic to nettles. The fact that I got into nettles tells me I was probably looking in the wrong place, and after speaking with the cache owner, my wonky reception from Miss Maggie MeriGold was confirmed.

I was dismayed to see the vandalism here...I will never understand how this type of behavior gives some individuals a case of the jollies. I picked up the trash in the area and placed it in what is designed to be a trash receptacle...I don't imagine it will stay there long since there's no way of keeping it together. The other receptacle was busted and broken, with a pile of nuts and bolts next to it. 😟

To counter the sadness of the vandals, the foxglove near the cache site is in full bloom, and it is GORGEOUS! Foxglove always makes me smile...the idea of little mittens for itty bitty foxes...well, doesn't it kinda put a smile on your face, too?

This is why I'm almost 100 logs behind...if I log a DNF like this, can you imagine what my find logs are like? I didn't find this cache, but I still found things that remind me that life is precious, life is good. Namaste'.

I'm logging my DNF, though I didn't actually get close enough to ground zero to look. While I think this might have been an acceptable hide elsewhere, providing the terrain difficult was accurate, the history of this cache location is, as Allanon stated, problematic. I politely and respectfully implore the cache owner to edit his or her note and remove the image posted; Allanon's words offered constructive criticism, not insults. The cache owner's note, on the other hand, is a rude and undeserved slap in the face; the disrespect is certainly unwarranted.

I came, I didn't see, I didn't conquer. The place my GPSr, Miss Maggie MeriGold, zeroed out is not where I think the cache is hidden, but it's been giving me wonky readings for a while now. Regardless, I searched where it told me to, and searched where it didn't tell me to, and didn't find a cache. I don't think I could have picked a worse time to be there; I felt pretty conspicuous in full view of the busy five o'clock traffic, even though I concentrated my efforts 'round back.

Now, if only I would log my finds (I'm 80 something behind) as conscientiously as I log my DNFs. 🤭
