Help! - Its “Boat Buddy” !! I need someone to rescue me!!
This guy got me out of a cache not far from the Colorado River and filled me with stories of where he was going to take me. Well we did get down to Hollywood and party a little, I was hopping to do some "Swashbuckling” with some movie stars, like maybe Johnny Depp. But we didn’t find any. There were those two rather odd sissy looking sailors there!
Anyway …… I figured this guy who rescued me from the last Cache would put me in some fancy cache near say …. Lake Hollywood, Silver Lake or even near by Castaic Lake, just so I could get my decks wet once again. But he was talking about Soda Lake in a National Preserve. Now you think National Preserve - forest, crystal clear streams, nice lakes, maybe some white water rafting all come to mind. Oh ya that sounded great!
BUT ITS OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOJAVE DESERT!!!!!!!!! Soda Lake has been dry for hundreds of years! What is he thinking - that global warming is going to fill this place up with water real soon! YA! Like maybe in a couple of millenniums! So he stuffs me in one of his caches that’s on the old wagon train trial, just out side of the Preserve, in view of this dried-up hole in the middle of nowhere! And I can hear him laughing as he walks away! “See ya Sailor Boy! Hope you don‘t melt in there when it gets well over a hundred degrees next summer!”
PLEASE! PLEASE!! PLEASE!!! Somebody come get me back on track towards the Atlantic OCEAN!
