Current Goal

Our trackable "Atlas" named after our service dog, would love to travel to the origins of his name..... Atlas comes from Greek Mythology, Titan Atlas. After the Titans were defeated, Atlas was condemned by Zeus to stand at the western edge of the earth to eternally hold up the heavens. Later, he became commonly identified with the Atlas Mountains in northwest Africa and was said to be the first king of Mauretania (mondern-day Morocco and west Algeria).

Due to his task of supporting the sky, Atlas became associated with astronomy and cartography. The term "Atlas" is now used for a collection of maps, honoring the Titan.

Our family would love to see Atlas make it to the Atlas Mountains in Africa, please help him on his long journey if you can!
