GHOST NET: A KILLER
Goes everywhere there is water!!
TB Restart Date: 12/16/2021
To travel the US and spread the word about Ghost Nets. What is a ghost net??? They are fishing nets that have been lost accidentally, deliberately discarded, or simply abandoned at sea. They travel the oceans of the world with the currents and tides continually fishing as they progress through the waters. As they are unattended and roaming, they fish indiscriminately, not only catching threatened species but undersized and protected fish as well. It is a real problem. In the old days the nets were made of twine and ropes. They would decompose after awhile. Now they are made of nylon which just goes on and on to fish for years and years. Do a web search and check out how widespread of a problem it is.
This bug wants to catch Travel Bugs that it meets. Place up to SIX bugs in the neat. Be sure and log each one into and out of the cache. When six are caught a release can be made. In the real world a Ghost Net doesn't release anything!
About This Item
Dying fish caught in a Ghost Net attract other fish which get caught too. Then they attract more fish. It is a bad cycle of death in a Ghost Net..

I picked up this trackable along the way. It traveled overseas with me educating people, and now I’m dropping it off here at a very beautiful place and somewhere where the learning can be applied. Keep it moving.

Dropped off this TB! When we picked it up in MO, the wood tag was broken. I made a metal replacement tag for it, so that should last a lot longer. Happy travels!

Retrieved TB, left a new TB. Looks like the proxy tag is broken, will try to repair or replace.
