About This Item

In the late 1800's it was a popular pastime for Victorian girls to collect buttons on a string. Each button had its own story, about who and where it came from. The legend was that when a girl collected her 1000th button, Prince Charming would come to carry her away.

Like many other Travel Bugs, VBC recreates that pastime by travelling from cache to cache, and picking up buttons and stories along the way. Besides, collecting buttons is just too darn nifty!

When you find the Button Charm TB, take it home and carefully unhook the wire, add a button to the string, and hook it back closed. Post a story about the button, where it came from, how you got it, why you added it, that sort of thing. Then drop the Button Charm into another cache for the next person to find!

    Found today at the dog park cache in Houston, TX. I added a small button and will move it on it's journey. Cute idea!
