Current Goal

The Niagara Escarpment is the ancient shoreline of an extinct seabed. It runs for over 650 miles from its western terminus in Ledges County Park, Wisconsin to its eastern terminus just east of Rochester, NY, traveling through Wisconsin’s Door County, Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Ontario’s Manitoulin Islands in Lake Huron, and Bruce Peninsula. as shown on the map on the other side of this card. It re-enters the U.S. at Niagara. This TB wants to travel along the Escarpment. Along the way it hopes to take a trip over Niagara Falls (hence the barrel). Escarpment scenery is impressive; please post pictures of our TB enjoying the view.

We visited the Cabin Lake cache today! There was no TB in the cache! I hope he turns up somewhere, but just thought you would like to know!

This bug was a barrel of laughs. He travelled with us through the eastern U.P., continuing his mission. We had intended to leave him near Sault Saint Marie, but decided a slight detour to Tahquamenon Fall (reputed to be the 2nd largest falls East the Mississippi) would be appropriate for this bug.

  • Into the U.P. Harbor at Escanaba
  • Mackinac Bridge TB takes in the view of the bay and the bridge in Mackinaw City
  • International Bridge at Sault Ste. Marie
  • Point Iroquois On his way to Tahquamenon Falls
  • Tahquamenon Falls Near Paradise, MI in the Upper Peninsula
Reputed to be the 2nd largest water fall (by volume) east of the Mississippi.
  • At Cabin Cache This is a view from the cache we left TB at. It is in Tahquamenon Falls State Park a short drive from the lower falls. It was an unbelievably tranquil spot. Don't miss it.
