Current Goal

We’re competing against Miss Madelyne (TBM34X) to see who can log the greatest distance, see the most sites and be the first to return home after November 1st, 2006 to our family in Northern Utah, in the United States.

HOW YOU CAN HELP US WIN: Take pictures of us visiting tourist attractions, castles, bridges and cool places that few tourists know about. Upload them online with your log for our family to see and keep track of where we've been. Thanks!

JUST BEFORE/ON/AFTER NOVEMBER 1ST, 2006: Please drop us off in a cache that is on our way back home towards Salt Lake City, Utah, United States.

After arriving in the state of Utah: please take me to Roy Travel Bug Bed & Bath Hostel (GC28AA8), in the city of Roy, Weber County, Utah.

OK, so they have a new warm home on South Padre Island, TX. We are down looking for warmer weather and finding it. We put the Lady Bugs in a cache right outside the Visitors Center doors. Hopefully someone will be vacationing down here from your area and pick it up and bring it back your way. I have attached somemore interesting photos of not so common sites that we have taken. Good Travels Elina and Bibble

  • THe Hard Hat Tree This is a strange site we came across on out 30 mile beach drive up to a cache located at the North end of the island. I think it is just a bunch of hardhats that have washed up on the beach from the Gulf of Mexico and people have started this Hard Hat Tree. I put the ladybugs on the tree, I know it is hard to see but they are there.
  • Alien space craft. Here are the ladys in the window to the right, I think this is a life boat that has washed up on the beach, maybe off of a boat, oil/gas platform. I really could not believe this is on the beach but there it is. This portion of the beach has no homes and there are no people living in the area for about 20 miles. Kind of weird to see this.
  • Largest Fly rod in the world Here is the largest flyrod in the world, located in Port Isabell TX.
  • Portugese Man-Of-War Here is a Portugese Man-Of-War that washed up on the beach off of South Padre Island, TX.
  • Elina and Bibble just before going in the cache OK Ladybugs, here is where we are dopping you off, Ahhhhhh, Sun, palm trees, and TX hospitalty. Good Travels.

we still have it but with the snow we have not had a chance to get out and do any caching, we are planning on a trip late next week to the south again, we will make sure we give it a good shot of dropping off Ladybugs. Sorry for the delay.

We are back home, tried to drop off Elina and Bibble but did not get a chance. Stopped by many places on the way home and muggles were everywhere so did not take the chance. We will get them headed West soon. Sorry for the Delay.

Sorry, I never logged it as taken. We have now so it should get some miles as soon as we drop it off. We will very soon as Vacation is coming to a close. It won't get too far west but it will get further than it was.

Decided to take a trip to Charleston S.C. Took a tour of the USS Yorktown, Fort Sumter, and some of the sites along the way. We had Elina and Bibble with us but it was difficult to take pics. with them, could not get the camera to focus, they would have been a blur. Here are some photos of the sites they got to see as well. 🙂

  • USS Yorktown Here is Elina and Bibble with the USS Yorktown in Charleston S.C.
  • Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, Charleston S.C. Here is a really cool bridge, the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, also known as the New Cooper River Bridge, it is a cable-stayed bridge over the Cooper River in South Carolina, connecting downtown Charleston to Mount Pleasant. The bridge has a main span of 1,546 feet (471 m), the longest among cable-stayed bridges in the Western Hemisphere.
  • Fort Sumter, Charleston S.C. Here is Fort Sumter in Charleston S.C. Fort Sumter is a Third System masonry coastal fortification located in Charleston harbor, South Carolina. The fort is best known as the site upon which the shots initiating the American Civil War were fired, at the Battle of Fort Sumter.

OK so Ladybugs Elina and Bibble is vacationing with us. Took some photos.

  • Tree of Shame, "Tail of the Dragon" Along the drive on 129 out of Tenn. is a drive called "Tail of the Dragon", a very windy curvey road. A lot of motocyclist love this ride. At the South end of this ride is a stop with the "Tree of Shame".
  • Tennessee, North Carolina State line Here is Elina and Bibble at the Tennesse, North Carolina State line in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park.
  • Appalachian Trail Along the Appalachain Trail in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park.
