About This Item

The UK geocoin is an excellent design. It has the map outline of the UK and Ireland superimposed on the Union Jack. (The inclusion of all of Ireland - rather than just Northern Ireland - in the map outline caused intense debate, which I will not comment further on here). The Latin motto "Veni - Quaesivi - Inveni" supposedly means "I came, I sought, I found". Clever!
The back has a compas rose in heavy 3D-effect. Suprisingly, the tracking number is located in the NE position, rather than in the middle, which is oddly empty. Perhaps a technical problem prevented ingraving the tracking number in the middle which would have seemed more obvious.
