Current Goal

Stormin Normin is interested in assessing the readiness and position of military installations. His mission is to get out and meet the troops while gathering intel and recon photos of military related caches. Any cache which contains interesting historical or current military ties should be properly assessed. Assistance filing intelligence reports and recon photos would be of great service to the mission.

About This Item

Several members of my family have served and are serving in the armed forces. I hope the fates will allow this bug to approach some of the areas they have served and are serving, as a form of me, their big brother, watching over them still. Aside from that, military history has always been interesting to me since I first played with my first set of little plastic men and a rubber band.

    • Stormin Norman Norman does recon at Civil Air Patrol Squadron 18, Hayward, CA. Learns that CAP is part of USAF auxillary.
    • Norman CAP Norman gets intel that CAP performs most inland search and rescue missions, working with law enforcement and USAF. CAP was founded days before Pearl Harbor and consisted of roughly 100,000 civilian pilots. CAP pilots not only protected the homeland, they had confirmed submarine kills off CA coast.
    • Pacific Region Headquarters Norman reconned and found the Pacific Wing Region Headquarters in the same building as Sq. 18. Pacific Wing includes CA, NV, WA, OR, UT, and AK.
    • SQ 18 Firebirds Norman gathered intel that sq. 18 is a cadet squadron that trains in ground search and rescue and aerospace education. They are also the California Wing Color Guard.
    • MIA POW Norman's recon found the table that honors all MIA/POWs. At every meal served, there is a moment of silence to remember those soldiers.
    • USAF National Guard Hangar Norman reconned the Hayward National Guard hangar. Found it to be maintained in readiness condition but currently not in service.
