This curious peace coin wants to travel as close as possible to the border between North and South Korea. On the way it would like to see as many broken barriers between people as possible. If you have a story of barriers broken or built to tell then please share it, wish the coin to bring luck for peace and send it on. Maybe it will break some barriers!
The coin starts its journey at the Berlin-Wall that used to divide East and West Germany. This wall came down in fall 1989 - you can read all about it and its history in Wikipedia - (visit link)
There are still a few barriers to be broken down in the mind of people today in Germany (and elsewhere). The cultural and ideaological development during the 50 years of "wall" separated people to some extent.
Although our ways may differ we are all still all humans - that want to live happily with each other. We firmly believe that we are not born evil. It may be the systems that we were born into that undermine understanding and make us react aggressively towards the "other". Lets break these barriers of mischief and work towards mutual understanding and respect!
With peace, yours, GraPa
