Current Goal

Otto is a “Fish out of Water”. Just like the fish in Helen Palmer’s book by the same name. In this case though he isn’t fed too much but he just wants to see the big wonderful world and experience all that it has to offer. So, let’s see how long Otto can stay out of the water as he visits you in your part of the world. Maybe he can even visit a water hole near you to get his gills wet.

Otto didn't spend long in his new cache. kmborden and I picked him up from Swampy early in our day of caching, so he did some hiking with us in the 100 degree weather. After such a long day he needed a nice swim, so we took him to the pool to relax. He'll be spending a couple of days seeing the historic Florence/Muscle Shoals/Tuscumbia area of Alabama before we send him on his way!

UPDATE: 7/20/2007

Well, Otto ended up with a bit of an extended stay, but he's back in a cache! While he was here, he visited Ivy Green, the home of Helen Keller, who overcame a childhood illness that left her deaf and blind to become one of America's great women. Be safe on the remainder of your journery, Otto!
