This coins mission is to travel far and wide visiting any type of cache as long as it stays in play. If this coin is removed from a cache we ask that it be placed in another cache within 2 weeks or so. If it visits event caches we ask that it be passed by hand to another cacher.
This beautiful coin celebrates the 7th anniversary of geocaching. From May 2nd, 2000 when selective availability was turned off, May 3rd, 2000 when Dave Ulmer hid the first stash in Oregon, May 30th, 2000 when the term geocaching was first coined by Matt Stum to Sept. 2nd, 2000 when Jeremy Irish created Geocaching.com.
